The latest in our series of introductions to our team here at Barrowhill Hall is to nurse, Alina Baciu.

Alina has made Uttoxeter her home after coming to the UK two years ago.

Originally from Romania, she made the move to pursue a career in care after having started as a volunteer in a hospital back home.

“It’s all down to my mum, Mihaela,” said Alina.  “She worked hard to pay for my nursing school.  She wanted me to become a nurse and work in England and now her dream has come true.

“There are more opportunities here, particularly when it comes to training” Alina added.  “I want to learn as much as I can about dementia because I really enjoy working with the residents here.”
